Hmmm…not sure if that has any significance. Nicknames: Princess, Slinky Special Talents: Brett (like Boone and Brody) is a smiler! We are so happy to have some new smilers in the house since we adore the trait in Boone. Song: None yet About Brett Brett is the product of Covenant Kennels innovative breeding program, which has combined some great field and show dogs. Brett and her brother, Brody, are one-quarter field bred and three-quarters show bred. And they’ve got the looks and intensity in the field to prove it. After a lot of agonizing over pictures, we drove all the way to Oklahoma to make sure we got the girl we needed for our breeding program. Brett has even more to offer than gorgeous looks and great hunting skills though. Brett is a total sweetheart, and always makes me laugh. We do tease her a bit about being a girly-girl, but she will get dirty with the boys and play with the best of them. Thank you to Leslie and Jay Toney for letting us have this awesome girl. Brett the Show Dog Brett is has had a very limited show career, but has done quite well on the few days she’s been out. Brett currently has seven points and one major. Brett took a bit of a break from the show ring to have puppies, and then decided to extend her vacation for me to have our daughter, and then had her second litter… we will start showing her again as soon as we get the hang of having two human kids. Brett is just the right balance between having substance and still being feminine. She exemplifies Pointer type. She is well put together and has very correct Pointer movement. We are thrilled to have her as our first foundation bitch. She has had two large litters with some truly exceptional puppies in both litters.

Brett and her brother, Brody, are 1/4 field bred and 3/4 show bred Pointers and have the best of both worlds in the field. They are intense on point and point with level tails, have great noses, a small range (perfect for foot hunting), and hunt in partnership with us (checking in and coming when called) with no formal training in that area. They also are natural retrievers with soft mouths. Brett has only been in one field trial in her life… the American Pointer Club National in 2007. Brett placed fourth in the puppy stake, and we were very proud of her. ![]() Brett at 11 months pointing our cat Gaia. Pictures of Brett
