About Larch
Larch is our second Spinoni. Our first Spinone, Saffron, was so wonderful that we wanted to get her a “sister”. At Birdsboro, our goal is to produce great dual-purpose dogs. Dual-purpose means that the dogs excel in both hunting and have correct conformation. Larch is the product of a litter that was planned with this same goal in mind. Larch is out of Zola, a top-winning show dog that can also hunt, and Brasch, a great looking Spinone that is also the youngest Spinone ever to attain both his Master Hunter (MH) from the AKC and his Versatile Championship (VC) from NAVHDA (these are the two highest titles a Spinone can earn in the hunting venue and are an amazing accomplishment).
Larch the Show Dog
Larch just began her show career at seven months. On her second day out, she took Best of Opposite Sex over a special. We are very excited about little Larch’s potential, as is her breeder. Larch has a very correct, harsh Spinone coat that requires no grooming other than very occasional burr removal. Here are some pictures of Larch starting out with her just hanging out at the show at seven months old being stacked by her breeder, Kay McLeland.

Larch is in the group ring in this shot! She won her her breed that day for a three point major. Thanks to her breeder Kay McLeland of Bella Campo Spinoni for showing her.
Larch the Birddog
Larch from the start was a natural with hunting. She has a great nose and took right to tracking. Her drive is also phenomenal and is fun to hunt with and this proves her pedigree to be correct. We always look forward to great times hunting with her.
