Boone is a lovely young dog with a solid topline, good shoulders, and a nice tail that all work together to provide gorgeous movement.  He exemplifies classic breed type and has a lovely head and good substance.  Boone is an extremely intelligent dog with an equally wonderful personality, which makes him a dream to live and work with.  He has done well in the show ring, but his true love is in the field.  Boone is an athletic and active dog that insists on going out to run and swim every day no matter the weather.  Boone has excelled in hunt tests and has consistently gotten high marks and praise for his style, tenacity, and ease of handling.  Boone is a natural retriever and an avid swimmer, and as long as the lakes aren’t frozen, he’ll always swim after running in the field (Boone has passed the AKC Water Test, normally reserved for the versatile hunting dogs).  Boone excels in agility as well.  Above all, he is a wonderful friend to all people and animals with a lively and sweet disposition and tremendous loyalty for his person (me).  You could not ask for a better hunting buddy or friend.

Maya is a beautiful girl with a solid topline and strong rear.  She has a very loving personality and greets everyone she meets with enthusiasm.  Like Boone, Maya is capable of fitting in with a multitude of animals and does not worry about her status in the pack.  Maya is five years young, with a puppy-like enthusiasm for life.  Maya can run all day, but is equally happy cuddled up with you on the couch.  Maya has been, and continues to be, a phenomenal mother to her boys.
