Birdsboro Pointers

Dog Relatives
When breeding dogs, it is important to have a solid understanding of their ancestors. I am fortunate enough to have the support of three great breeders: Karin Ashe (Scanpoint), Monica Broomfield (Tradewinds), and Pam Coflin (Marsh Run). These three are all quite familiar with the dogs in our dog’s pedigrees for generations back. It is with their help that we are able to continue to produce healthy Pointers with stable temperaments that are a pleasure to own and hunt with. It is because of their willingness to share and advise me that their Pointer breeding programs will live on long into the future.
Ancestors
It is because of these great dogs that we are able to continue to produce such fine Pointers. To paraphrase what Pam Coflin once told me, you will never get that same dog back that you loved so much, but you will see glimpses of them in future generations. I have met some of these dogs, but most I never had the pleasure of meeting. Nevertheless, I am lucky enough to have three great breeders that will tell me stories about them.
